Cabbage Program

The Cabbage Program
my teacher gave everyone in my class a cabbage plant. It is a 10 week program to grow feed and care for a cabbage plant for 10 weeks.

So, it rained for almost 2 weeks straight, of course. On week three, I finally dug my hole for my cabbage plant.
In goes my plant.

Now, I watch for bugs, fertilize and water my plant and pull weeds around my plant. Then watch how fast and how big it grows!

Check back to see the results.

I FEEL SPECIAL...

Today I received JESUS!

I prayed a lot !!! I wore my pretty white princess dress.
All of my Grandparents came to mass with me to help me celebrate my special day.
And gave me lots of gifts, too.

Mommy made me a Communion Barbie with a matching Rosary like mine. After mass we all went out to eat together and mommy made me a delicicous cake for dessert.

It kind of felt like I was getting married or something.

Sew Simple Day

This is really simple. All I had to do was buy the material...it came ready to sew the seam.
Then add the straps, that also came with the dress.
I did have to cut it a little...it was too big around for Sara. Then I just sewed it all up and try it on her.It fits!!!

Now I am making iron on stars and flowers to purses.(One for me and one for Sara)

This is me after working on crafts today! Mom said I am literally climbing the walls! Whatever that means!

Easter Bunny House Kit

Do you like my Easter Bunny House?
It was a lot harder to make than the Gingerbread
Man House we made for Christmas. And it tasted
a lot better too!

Easter Crafts...

This is an Easter Egg Tree. Really Cute Craft!!! I took the Tree to my class with all the kids names on the eggs and hung on the tree. I even decorated the eggs a little with permant markers.
The eggs below, hung form the fireplace, is my family's eggs. We hung them from our fireplace after we deocrated them.

Bunny Craft. EASY!!!!!!!!!!!
Mosaic Eggs...This is a plastic egg covered in jelly beans. Love this one!
We have made the crosses every year. They are easy to do and make really nice gifts for church and school and family.Bunny Plate. Too Simple!Bunny Hand
This is my hand traced onto paper and turned into a bunny.
Just in case you were wondering...
I did change my circle decorations for Easter. I added crosses to them this time! The crosses are super easy. Just shave crayons in colors that you like and place all the shavings on wax paper. Add another sheet of wax paper on the top of the shaved crayons. Then have your parent iron over the colors until they are all melted. The hotter the iron, the more the colors will mix.Just a simple thub print and you have yourself a cute little bunny. This sweet little paper doll can be printed at http://www.daniellesplace.com/html/easter.html

Sara loves playing with them but we had to draw panties on them because it bothered her so much. I actually thought they were super cute and made my own.

Jesus Jelly Bean BagsPlace jelly beans in a snack size ziplock bag and attach the following prayer:

Jelly Bean Prayer

Red is for the blood He gave

Green is for the grass He made

Yellow is for the sun so bright

Orange is for the edge of night

Black is for the sins that were made

White is for the grace He gave

Purple is for the hour of sorrow

Pink is for the new tomorrow.

A bag full of jelly beans,Colorful and sweet,Is a Prayer...is a Promise... Is an Easter treat!

This year we placed the baggie of jelly beans in a plastic egg and attatched the poem w/ribbon.

My Spring Break Vacation

We had the coolest cabin. It looked like Shrek's House! On the inside and outside.

Me and Momma Chillaxin-Kara's word for Chillin' and relaxin'.
We even found the Bridge to Terebithia right behind our cabin!

We all slept in the Bunkbed Room. All the kids had their own bunk bed!! That was cool!
I did have 3 breathing treatments everyday.
That was not fun but I made up for it.
I played outside everyday!!!
I got pretty good at shooting peas with a sling shot!
Daddy and Kim helped me make really huge bubbles!
Kim gave all the girls manicures and pedicures.
This is our BANANA BOX. Daddy built this the day before we left so nobody could break into the truck and take our things.

I hope we get to go more places with The Cooper's. It was fun playing with Tate and Kara.

My Birth DAY!!!

I love my cake!!!

I wanted it to look like a beach or Hawaii.
My mom made it perfect!
There was so much to look at!

WooHoo!!! $100.00~ Anyone want to take me shopping?

I have wanted a pinata for so long...I finally picked out the prettiest one I ever saw.
Even as cute as she was...I had no problem beating her!
She was a tough girl, but I won!!!

See?
Along with my new bedroom and sister sharing a room with me..I also got a closet makeover, my ears pierced, lots of new earrings, an earring stand, books, CD's, a new XBOX game-Madagascar, a gift card, a new crafting iron, a craft project kit, money, tennis racket, and bracelets. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes, thoughts, and gifts!!

I am 8 years old...

Today is going to be so much fun! I can't wait!I am taking my sweet little Kitty Cat cupcakes all for me because it is my birthday but I am also taking very pretty cupcakes for my class.
Momma let me eat a pretty one last night!

My parents are coming to have lunch with me today, like they always do for my birthday. They are bringing me a loaded baked potato(because no meat on Fridays-Lent)but that is fine with me. Loaded baked potatoes are my favorite anyway. I have them every year at my birthday party. Eckrich Sausage and Load Potatoes and Corn on the Cob! YUMMY! But that will be tomorrow. Every year we get to go out to eat anywhere we want to go at night on our real birthday. It is our choice. I don't know where I want to pick, yet. We also get one present on our real brithday. Yes, my brand new tennis racket is pink and brown! Just like my room...

You already know I got my ears pierced for my birthday and Sara moved into my room so I we got a new room.

My Birthday Pictures

I better go to school now! I have been up since 6 o'clock. I can't wait!!!

You will never believe it...

I am picking out what earrings I want to pierce my ears with...
I am pointing to diamonds!
(When we walked into the store there was no one here with us.)

I am waiting patiently for the girl to get everything ready for me...
(Hayley was so excited. She never thought in a million years that we would let her get her ears pierced.)
OK, here we go!
(At this point, she was ready and excited but a group of College Girls came in just in time to watch, of course, but they were saying things that were uncalled for. One girl said, "Hey look, she is getting her ears pierced!. Oh, she is going to cry, I cried when I got mine done. And I only got them pierced two years ago." Meanwhile, her friends were telling her to hush because that little girl could hear her and she will make her cry, too." But...)
( Get ready! )
(The girl never moved a muscle, didn't even react as if anything even happened.)
"That didn't really hurt,"( was all she said!)
(So...on to the next ear! This time she actually flinched...real quick, if you blinked you would have missed it.)

"I love them!"
"Are they pretty?" "Can you see them?"
"I like them...it didn't really hurt at all!"
(This girl has always proven how tough she is! She amazes us with her determination and tolerance to pain! She is a stone wall...nothing fazes her! And she is so proud of her pretty ears. We let her pick out as many pairs of earrings as she wanted and she can't wait to start changing them. The next morning, she woke up and came into the living room and said, "I bet you forgot about my ears, didn't you." And I told her I did not forget. So, when Kevin got up I heard her ask him the same thing. She couldn't have picked a better birthday present! She is very happy with herself and her pretty little ears. But I gotta tell ya...Kevin, being the big brother that he is, pulled me aside while Hayley was picking her earring studs, and asked me if I really thought this was a good idea because Hayley already has so much trouble with her ears. So, I assured him that I wouldn't let her do this if I thought it was a bad idea and that the trouble she has is inside her ears and this is unrelated. So, way to go Kevin, keeping Hayley's best interest in mind. Do you think he is concerned that his parents don't have a clue what they are doing? )

I Love My New Closet...

My Daddy made me this new organized closet! I love it! It was just a rod all the way across to hang vlothes on with a shelf on top. I needed more room anyway. But wea re doing all of this because Sara is moving into my room! I am excited! I can't wait until she sleeps in my room at night. She has moved in with her clothes, toys, etc. But she won't "officially" be in my room until we have her a bed. Daddy is making a new headboard, just like the one I already have, so we can have matching beds, too. I never shared my room with anybody before, I have been lucky enough to have my own room for 8 years. But Ryan is outgrowing his space in the alcove so he will move into Sara's room. I will show you more pictures when my dad finishes the bed and when Sara is completely moved in. I am still trying to talk my mom into painting my room again.

Out of Commission

I am posting for Hayley today. Hayley went to the Dr. for an ear infection and got some bad news instead. The Dr. said she had an ear infection in one ear and on a scale of 1-10 it was 10, but the ear infection in her other ear was a 10+++(HORRIBLY BAD!!!) She said the eardrum is about to burst!
The Dr. said that if it were her own ears she would be crying. Hayley must have a high tolerance to pain! She did not look just right this morning and I asked her if she was ok and she said she couldn't sleep because her ear kept waking her up. That is all she said. She has not complained at all! That was enough for me to know to get her to the Dr.

Hayley got a Super Shot at the office and we have antibiotics and ear drops, as well. Dr. says eardrum may still burst, the shot will not prevent it. We will know when/if it does...she said Hayley should scream bloody murder and be in excruciating pain. (Not convinced, because she didn't even tell me about the pain from the ears until it was off the charts.) The drainage is suppose to be really aweful, too. Not looking forward to tonight! But am hoping the ear does not end up bursting.

Good thing she posted a few Valentine crafts before this. It may be a while before she feels like doing anything. She has not moved much(only what was absolutley necessary) or said anything(unless I ask her something) since she woke up this morning. I am positive she won't go to school tomorrow either!
